I am a New York State Licensed Psychoanalyst who works with individuals and couples from varied backgrounds, cultures and professions. I approach the therapeutic relationship as a creative investigation into what might be standing in the way of greater fulfillment in your current life. Perhaps the tools you've been carrying around are no longer the right tools for the job. Or maybe there are a variety of seemingly unconnected threads permeating your days, causing you unhappiness or to be anxious. Maybe you've been carrying around the weight of unresolved feelings and memories.
Regardless...something brought you to this Web site. It is my hope that you find something here that might be helpful.
In considering a therapist, one of the most important elements is how you feel as you sit in the room with that person. In my role, I try to uphold an environment that allows for focus, but also a space that is warm and inviting, unpretentious and safe. I recognize that everyone is unique, and as such, my approach to therapy is not cookie-cutter. Common issues I see in my practice include depression, anxiety, phobias, blocked creativity, difficulty communicating with others, sexuality, self-esteem issues, and lack of direction or focus.
